Metro Drummer

As a drummer of thirty odd years, I know my one weakness.

My sense of tempo sucks.

Actually, its not too bad but can easily be pulled of course by the rest of the band.

Therefore it sucks. I should be able to hold veryone in check or, at least be able to move with the rogue player and slowly pull him back into line.

The solution is to practice rhythms and rudiments with a metronome. I've a Korg which is very nice and my Vic Firth practice pad to let loose on. Its been many years since I've practiced regularly so that itself will be a challenge. Anyway, its time I sorted this out.
