Last Gig before Crig

Just a Christmas Eve line or two before I head to Loughborough from work to pick up a new vacuum cleaner, of all things. If it had a Ludwig logo on it I'd be a bit more interested!

I've just been watching footage from the Guitar Heroes night at the Musician. Very enlightening.

Fast licks on the drums don't work, they just disappear. Big, spacey eighth-note fills sound tremendous. Contrary to my personal belief double shuffles do cut through the mix, sound great and are worth the effort. I should experiment with quarter-notes on the bell of the ride.

I should smile a bit more.
